Craig Mathews, Senior Pastor
Pastor Mathews began his ministry in 1977 as Director of Christian Education serving congregations in Port Washington and Neenah, WI in the areas of education and youth ministry as well as Omaha, NE in the areas of education ministry and also as administrator of the preschool.
From 1998-2000, Pastor Mathews attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO to shift his ministry emphasis from that of a Commissioned Minister to Ordained Minister in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. After ordination, Pastor Mathews served in Chippewa Falls, WI as an Associate Pastor before moving to Florida in December 2010 to become the Senior Pastor here at Hope.
Pastor Mathews is married to Eunice, who also has a degree in elementary education. They have three grown children, as well as three grandsons, three granddaughters, one step-granddaughter, and two foster grandchildren living in Houston, TX, Independence, MO, and Lincoln, NE. Pastor Mathews and Eunice spend quite a bit of time traveling to be with grandkids. In addition, Pastor Mathews enjoys working out, running 3 5K's a year, plus running up 42 flights of stairs for the Tampa area "Fight for Air Climb" every march.
Cindy Stewart, Administrative Assistant
Cindy, originally from South Bend, IN, is passionate about the clerical side of Hope's ministries. Her talents keep us up to date and running smoothly, when she isn't out on the tennis courts working on her serve!
Cindy has been at Hope for over eighteen years. She loves the people of Hope and is always available to listen and help.
Rob Hinz, Visitation Pastor
Pastor Hinz was ordained in 1977 and has served churches in Louisiana, Maryland, and Florida.
He enjoys going to movies with his wife Jan, reading, bird watching, traveling, and studying languages. He also enjoys reading about archaeology and he hopes to someday go on a dig. His real passion however, is ministering to older adults, hearing their stories and sharing Christ.
Dorothy J. Feldman, Pianist/Choir Director
Dorothy J. Feldman was raised on a farm in Central Pennsylvania, and she studied piano and violin since she was eight. She is a graduate of West Chester State Teachers College with a BS in Music Education. She taught for 35 years in the public school system in PA and NJ (she is now retired), and served as an organist and choir director in various churches in PA, NJ and Florida. She is also currently a member of the American Guild of Organists
Dorothy is a mother of two sons and grandmother of four, with one more on the way! She currently teaches private lessons in piano, violin and flute. Dorothy works with the traditional services at Hope, playing piano and directing the choir.
