James Krach

Senior Pastor

My name is Pastor James Krach. Both my wife and I were born and raised in Saginaw Michigan. I lived there until I was 38 when the Lord called me to go to Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. I graduated 4 years later on May 19, 2000. Since graduation, my wife and I have served in many different places in the U.S. Hope Lutheran here in Bradenton, Florida is our 5th congregation, and we are very happy to be here to serve Jesus and make disciples.

July 9, 2000 was my ordination in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This year marks 22 years the Lord Jesus has allowed me to “feed His sheep.” As my uncle once told me, “there is no better job on earth.” I certainly agree with him and will tell him someday in heaven.

I am married to my beautiful wife Jennifer. Jennifer’s daughter Desiree is my stepdaughter. Des is 38 and lives in Livonia, Michigan with her husband Derek Swan and two children, Jayden and Jaxson. Jennifer and I have one child together and her name is Ellie. Ellie is 21 and lives with us. She works for an online mortgage banking company and is doing very well. We are all very excited to be here in Bradenton and be with all of God’s people for whatever time period He allows me to serve.

My family is deeply rooted in service to our Lord. My grandfather served for over 50 years as a pastor in the Detroit, Michigan area. My uncle was a pastor in the Saginaw, Michigan area for over 50 years also. My Father was a Lutheran school teacher and principle for over 40 years in Saginaw. It wasn’t until I attended a Promise Keepers event in Pontiac, Michigan in April of 1995 that I ever thought about serving Jesus as a pastor. Never count Jesus out and think that He doesn’t want you serve in some capacity, because He does work in strange and marvelous ways.

Jennifer, Ellie, and I love it here in the Bradenton area. We love the weather, the beaches, the people, the food and are very excited to be here at Hope Lutheran to share the Word of God with you and help you in your relationship with Jesus.

If you are new to the area, please consider visiting Hope Lutheran Church. Hope is a member of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. As a visitor here you will find that our people will welcome you with open arms. I look forward to meeting you and talking with you!
